Harworth Colliery Institute Football Club is a football club established in 1931 who, despite being based in Harworth, in Nottinghamshire, England, are members of the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA.
In the 1979-80 season, they reached the Third round of the FA Vase. As of the 2011-12 season, they are members of the Central Midlands League North Division. After a few shaky years in the Central Midlands Division One finishing in the lower regions of the league the club took the opportunity to be promoted to the supreme division for the 2008/09 season, the step up was seen as a possible bridge to far for the young team. However, the team adapted well to the higher stantard of competition and were top of the league for the majority of the season, due to injuries and suspensions toward to the back end of the season the team finished in a very respectable 7th place. After the season the Club Manager Mark Brogan stepped down after two years in charge. Harworth have recently appointed former Chesterfield player Lee Danyz as their new first team coach for the 2009/10 season who has been handed the task of developing the talents of the young side and improve on last seasons finish and continue establishing the clubs growing reputation as an attractive side to watch.

As of 2011 the New 1st team manager is former player Brendan Wilson, son of Club President Paul (Tash) Wilson, and assisted by John Dickinson the club in general is taking strides forward to improve all sides of the club from the Ground to the players and looking to do this by gaining more sponsorship from Local Businesses, current 1st team sponsor is Local Indian Restaurant Paradise. The club also has a reserve side which plays in the Cental Midlands reserves League, these are managed by another Son of the President, Jonathan Wilson, this has been done to give the best chance to the first team to field a strong side at every opportunity, they in their own right are competing well and at present challenging for the League. Harworth Colliery also boasts a 3rd team on a Saturday which plays in the Gainsborough and District league, managed by Andy Heath, all three teams proving to be very competitive and in Season 2010-2011 doing very well. As well as the three Saturday teams the Club also runs an Under 19's which plays in the North Midlands league, the team is run by former player Glen Macpherson and Hasan Hussein. Due to the very high standard of oppsotion the team has found it difficult this season but over half of the team now represent the 3 Saturday teams and considering the size of the club and who they are up against are acquitting themselves well. Secretary of the Club is Simon Stones who assists in every aspect of running the Club and with the help of the Committee which includes all three managers, Harworth Colliery FC is in good hands and looking to improve the whole Infrastructure of the club.
